What is it?
Popiah is a Fujianese/Teochew-style fresh spring roll. Originated from China, it has become a popular cuisine of Southeast Asia, It is made out of a soft thin paper like wheat flour wrapping various ingredients with various variations depending on countries and vendors. These combinations generally include bean sprouts, French beans, lettuce leaves, grated carrots, thinly sliced fried tofu, peanut powder, shredded omelette and mean variations including lightly seasoned pork, and other meat forms.
