Cze Char is not really a dish but more of a unique Singaporean dining term that refers to an extensive variety of dishes cooked to order. Even though it is mainly based on Chinese cooking, it still has plenty of Malay, Indian and Peranakan influences as well.

It is usually more expensive and elaborate than the normal hawker fare that you find in Singapore but cheaper than most Chinese restaurants. Cze Char stalls normally open at dinner time and operate late into the night.
